The Dark Knight 2 (Tentative)

So we have all watched The Dark Knight by now, and apart from a few people, the general consensus was that Nolan's second Batman movie kicked ass, thanks largely to the late Heath Ledger.

Another thing that everyone probably knows by now is that The Dark Knight is the second in a trilogy. The question now is this, who is going to be the villain in the next Batman flick?

1. The Penguin

The most likely choice for part three in my opinion. Penguin is actually a mob boss, and not some two-bit gimmick bad guy who attacks with his poison spewing umbrella. So it would make sense to fit him into this "realistic" Gotham that Nolan's created.

2. Ra's Al Ghul

Batman Begins confused me. Did it try to imply that Ducard and Ra's were one and the same? In any case, since the Demon's Head is immortal, he can be brought back again for a glorious return. Hah. Oh, and I'd like Talia to make an appearance this time.

3. Bane

The only person to have broken (literally) the Dark Knight. Again, like the Penguin, there are a lot of misconceptions regarding this character, thanks largely to that abomination directed by Schumacher (the Clooney one, not the Kilmer one). He is NOT a steroid fiend who acts as a "bodyguard" to supposedly more important villains. He's shown to be a cunning tactician who masterminded Batman's downfall in the Knightfall storyline. Now, if only they would remove that ridiculous mask of his.

4. Lex Luthor

I know, I know...seems like a stretch doesn't it? Well, look at it this way, Lex is the only person rich enough to be considered a threat to Wayne Corp. So he could threaten both Bruce Wayne AND Batman.

5. The Riddler

Very under-developed character. He'd do fine as long as he loses the green uniform and that "Zorro" mask or whatever he wears. And he'll have to kill people, not just rob banks or something. What made the Joker so great this time was that he was so menacing, so if they could replicate that with Nigma, then they could possibly have a hit on their hands.

They need to bring back the scarecrow, his role in the first movie was too small.
Ra's al ghul blew.
And what do you think about The Mad Hatter?
